OCS is a very difficult program, but if you are qualified (ie you pass a physical and the pre-ocs fitness and academic tests) you can get through it. Most people spend most if not all of the thirteen weeks exhausted and still manage to summon within themselves the energy to get through the next day. It's a very rigorous schedule so much that the adage is true: the days are like weeks and the weeks are like days. The best part about it (besides becoming an Officer, which really is the best part) is that you will be amazed at what you are able to accomplish. Most of your days are spent in the classroom, but PT, drill and military information (courtesy, inspections, etc.) are also a strong part of the program. If you have specific questions, I will try to answer them.

Probably the most important thing I can say is if you aren't sure you could do it, but you know it's what you want to do, go for it! Motivation is absolutely the most important tool for OCS. If I can get through it, just about anyone who wants to and puts in effort can!

I'll be starting Aviation Preflight Indoc this Friday, so I 'm still in Pensacola for a while. I'll continue with Primary in the Pensacola area, and after that intermediate and advanced training depend on how well I do at API. Feel free to email me at bfosha@hotmail.com with any other questions. Best of luck to you, Becki
