Maternity Uniforms

Who pays for maternity uniforms for Officers? Research to date: MCO states enlisted Maternity uniformwill be issue(Marine Corps Pays). The orders I have access to are so far silent on what the policy is for officers. I would also like to point out that I've notbeen able to find out this policy for any U.S. Militaryservice. Nor have I been able to determine if there isa DOD Policy on this issue. I know uniform policy for Marine Corps Officers is that the Officer buys thereuniforms,there is a small amount given to enlisted towarrent officer appointees, for their transition of uniforms,about $200.00,not nearly enough. The Women Marines I'veasked about this have run into the same situation, andjust went out and bought there maternity unforms. Anyonehave a reference, order, regulation,policy statement?I'd like to address this in MARINE MAIL, but I want toexhaust all resources first. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANYAND ALL HELP. SEMPER FI!

Hello!**You ask a great question that probably should be forwarded to Marine Mail.**Have you researched MCO 10120 completely?**Your Supply section usually holds these orders and bulletins, and it will give you in depth information.**I went through 3 pregnancies in the Corps.**The first time was before maternity uniforms.**As enlisted, a woman only receives one issue, no matter how many pregnancies.**It is my assumption that officers pay for their own maternity uniforms, as with their other uniform items.**Hope this helps you!!**Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays.**Semper Fi, Barb
