I would like to know where I can get the history of women in the Marine Corps.** Beyond a book foundin the University of Kansas' library, I have no other resource.**As I WILL (no doubt in my mind!) be an officer in two years, this is very valuable to my career.**Also, if anyone could send regulations andexpectations of women officers in the Corps, even if they are just opinions from current and former Marines, and maybe the reations of parents when the WM decided the Corps was the service of choice.**V/R,Ella Suzanne BlountMIDN**********USMCR

Ella, The History & Museums Division, Headquarters Marine Corps, Washington, DC, has a book titled "The History of the Women Marines, 1946-1977" by Col Mary V. Stremlow, USMCR.**It will give you a lot of information about our history.**It only costs around $14, and can be ordered through the Superintendent of Docs.**There is another written by the same author that deals with our World War II history.**This is very important, as these were the ladies who laid the foundation for the women in the Corps today.**They were the ones who made it possible for us to join.At one time, there was an area of MarineLink, The Corps' official web page, where one could order forms for books such as this.**Since they changed the web page, I don't know if it's still there. Also, I found a copy in my local public library, if you would rather not purchase one. Please forgive this shameless plug, but the Women Marines Association has a historical calendar available for purchase.**It has dates and picture
