I am 26 years old, and I am currently finishing up my bachelors degree in criminal justice. I am a senior airman in the Air Force and my goal is to get commissioned with the Marine Corps. Why? I've always admired the Marine Corps and I have two close friends who are enlisted into the Corps and have enjoyed their military experince to the fullest. If I become a Marine officer, the challenges that awaits me will fulfill the last hiearchy of Maslow's pyramid for me which is self-actualization. Why, the commissioning program?**The commissioning program in the Marine Corps will give me the opportunity to make use of the leadership training I have received while serving my time in the Air Force. I'm looking for a mentor in the Marine Corps, someone that can give me guidance on some of the things I must or should accomplish before I submit my application for acceptance. I have 1 year and 8 months left on my enlistment with the Air Force so, if I am accepted I will be entering Officer bootcamp at the age of 28. I am proud of the decision I have made, I am determined to make this happen. Please email me with any suggestions.
