hello everyone. i am going into my senior year of high school and am seriously thinking about joining the Marines when i graduate. i would really like some advice and info from u first before i get the sweet talk from a recruiter. can u tell me what restrictions we have, what we can do, advice, encouragement, tips, warnings, anything. please send it to LadyKunoichi@hotmail.com. thank you. In regards to your question about parents giving you a hard time for wanting to join the Marines, strangely, my father did.**I say strangely, because he is a 30-year Vet!**I initially had tested for the Air Force.**But before entering the DEP, I did some thinking.**I had grown up on a Marine base and lived around Marines all my life.**It was basically all I knew, military-wise.**My parents did not push me into anything.**When I asked my Dad if I should go into the USMC, he was afraid to say yes or no.**But when he handed me his 1944 large emblem to wear on my cover at graduation, the same one he has worn at his boot camp graduation, I knew he approved of my choice....and was proud of it.**:-)
