Congratulations on your acceptance into the USAF.**It can be an extrememly rewarding experience.**First--I hope you don't continue to call yourself a soldier, unless you're going into the Army.**You are an Airman and you're going to Basic Training, not boot camp.**In Basic, you'll learn the basics of the USAF and you'll find out exactly what you're made of.**Best thing to keep in the back of your mind that Basic Training is NOT representive of what your Air Force career is going to be like.**The purpose of Basic is to weed out the wheat from the chaff and to see if you can handle discipline, orders, and physical fitness as well as be a team player.**If you do not possess these characteristics, I would seriously consider another career.**Also, I would leave your biases at home--the fact you are Hispanic has no bearing in the military.**The Air Force is looking for the most qualified people--they are not concerned with your race, religion, creed, or color.**I wish you good luck and keep an open mind.**Diane
