: Hi,I'm curious about what your thoughts are on the integration/segregation of male/female troops in Air Force basic training.**Thanks.DaveI wholeheartedly believe women and men should be integrated together in basic training, because it has and will instill mutual respect towards one another, and it will prepare them to work together after basic training. Separating them would only be detrimental to the Air Force. The only thing that needs to be changed in basic is the physical standards for women. They need to be raised to the level of the men's standards. (They aren't so hard women could never pass them) This would improve the quality of the women in the Air Force and would lower resentment and add respect towards women from men. As far as barracks in basic, perhaps separate men from women further by putting them in separate dorms so the possibility of sexual encounters is reduced. Keep basic integrated, let's not go backwards in time.
