WOMEN AND ANTHRAX SHOTS

The USAF promulgated a message about 4 weeks ago stating the reprecussions of refusing the anthrax vaccines as well as detailed Q and A of medical testing done to ensure its safety.**Like you, I'm not thrilled with the aspect, but when you weigh the consequences of a Courts Martial, for me it isn't worth it.**The message stated unequivocal test results that the vaccine is safe for pregnant women. Some think anthrax is an "overseas disease" and why should you be vaccinated against something you'll never be exposed to.**Guess what--a primary terrorist weapon these days could be anthrax.**Its delivery could be something easy like put in an envelope and left in an elevator in Kansas. I HAVE A QUESTION FOR THE ACTIVE DUTY WOMAN..... WILL YOU ACCEPT THE ANTHRAX SHOT OR WILL OR REFUSE?**KNOWING THAT YOU MAY BE COURT MARTIALED FOR YOUR DECISION?**I AM AN ACTIVE DUTY FEMALE AND IS CONSIDERING REFUSING THE SHOTS THAT HAS ME WORRIED ABOUT THE EFFECTS TO UNBORN CHILDREN IN THE FUTURE... ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY TOLD AN ACTIVE DUTY FEMALE WHO IS CURRENTLY PREGNANT THAT SHE CAN STILL RECIEVE THE SHOTS!!!**IF YOU HAVE ANY COMMENTS OR THE SAME WORRIES OR HAVE ALREADY HAD THE SHOTS PLEASE EMAIL ME !**THANK YOU

I am a former USAF Aerospace Medicine Technician. Since then, I now work in Chaplain Services. NO ONE, I say again, NO ONE can tell you to take any immunization without having been cleared by your OB (if you are pregnant). DO NOT LET YOURSELF BE INTIMIDATED!! Medical commanders should already know this and relay it to unit commanders. Pregnant females cannot receive immunizations without that clearance. However, if the OB clears you to take the immunization, you have a legal obligation to take it.
