Both of my parents were in for 6 years and my grandfather**was a chief warrent officer 4. ****It's in the blood I'm sure but I'm not sure if I can take basic training. I can't really run the mile that fast but I'm pretty strong. ****Cival air patrol helps me a lot with military**education and I can march very well. I just don't know if I have what it takes to be a pilot. preferbly**jets but I love to fly helicopters.**** Please respond with any ideas or sugestions.

If you have the desire, you should be able to accomplish that goal you want.**Just be patient, and never give up trying, and always do your best.**Then even if you don't get as far as you had hoped, you won't be dissappointed and can at least say you tried!**If the physical aspects of it worry you, start getting in shape now.**Don't wait until you go in to the service.**As for flying... or the Air Force... remember.. ALL the branches have Pilots, both fixed and rotor!**Look at each, and then compare.**Check out which has a better program for women and which tends to be more male orientated.**Then last... which branch has the duty stations that you'd prefer to be at and possibly live.**If you really want to fly... do it!**Sounds like you already have a headstart with being in the Air patrol!**As for time... that's all up to you.**And obligations... go for the minimum time frame needed to enlist in whichever branch you choose for such a program.**And last... get it in writing!!! (contract) Never assume or take the recruiter's word for it that you'll go to Pilot school/training later.**Hope some of this helps?** Good luck!!.............****** : hi I'm a 17 yr old female who is seriously thinking about joining the Air Force.
