I am a 20 year old female , I've been thinking about joining the Air Force for a while now, but I am not sure. I have looked for information all over and they all tell me the same thing. If anyone could tell me what it is like for women in the Air Force, give me any advice, or offer any suggestions please e-mail me. A friend that was in the Air force told me that I would enjoy it alot, but that was coming from a males point of view. What I really need is a womens point of view.Thank you for your time.

I have been in the AF for 4 years now. I love it. I think it is more enjoyable as a woman. You will not find a job as a civilian that is as rewarding. But, you must love what you stand for. Serving your Country. I enjoy getting up every morning and putting on my uniform.

First of all, let me say this site has helped me a lot already. Okay, I am not quite twenty two and will be graduating in May with a BA in English Lit/ minor in Spanish. I am really interested in joining the military for so many reasons. Several of my friends and family have and are currently serving in all branches so I know that I feel comfortable in the military environment. Basically I guess I am just looking for some more pros and cons to consider, maybe some things I should know and think about before joining. I know that I want to pursue a Masters degree down the road but I also really want to see some other parts of the world while I'm young. I guess I'm sort of hesitatant speaking with a recruiter yet, I don't want to be persuaded too quickly. Is there anyone you would recommend I speak with before choosing a branch?
