I leave in 4 days for the Army, which I'm so psyched about. I LOVE the Army, and the job I'm going to be doing, psychological operations. My MOS and major are two completely different interests of mine, but they are both rather intriging. When I enlisted I was planning on majoring in engineering, and I have finally decided I want to major more specifically in aeronautical engineering. I will be getting my degree through my time in the Army. My question is can I join the Airforce (or work for them in the civilian sector) as an aeronautical engineer while I'm in the inactive reserves for the Army? I will have a top secret clearance through the Army , so that wouldn't be a problem.

When you get out of the Army you can get into the Air Force Reserve and complete your time in the Air Force

When I become inactive, would they really let me switch over, even though I'm trained for them, and I signed a contract with them? I wouldn't think they would let me do that if they needed to call me up. Or is this something that changes like with other military policies?
