I was an ATCr the first 7 of my now 24-year career in the USAF. It was the best job I ever had. I'm no longer a controller only because once I became commissioned, the Air Force needed me in a different speciality--wasn't my option. Your training will be at Keesler AFB following successful completion at Lackland AFB basic training. Controllers require a lot of discipline and not get rattled easily; if you don't have these attributes, you may want to consider another profession. Good luck.
