Hello to all military women!I'm looking for any officer that is either a medical technician or clinical laboratory scientist.**I am a Clinical Lab. Science major at St. Augustine's college, Raleigh, North Carolina.**The CLS program here is accredited!**I'm curious about any jobs that exist on active duty for MT's or CLS'.**I need to know if an officer can even work in this capacity on active duty or do I need to consider the options of graduate or medical schoolsl first.**I do not want to enter active duty without being branch in the Medical Service Corps.**Help!!!

Science major at St. Augustine's college, Raleigh, North Carolina.**The CLS program here is accredited!**I'm curious about any jobs that exist on active duty for MT's or CLS'.**I need to know if an officer can even work in this capacity on active duty or do I need to consider the options of graduate or medical schoolsl first.**I do not want to enter active duty without being branch in the Medical Service Corps.**Help!!!I'm not medical, so I'm not totally familiar with the specifics of your programs, but the Army uses enlisted lab technicians and commissioned physician's assistants as well as doctors (and other medical specialists such as optomotrists, dentists, psychologists, etc).**Medical Service Corps officers deal mostly with either medical administration, tactical medical support, or certain medical specialties (other than doctors).**I have quite a few MSC officers in my battalion, executing tactical medical support.**I also have a doctor, dentist, and physician assistant in my organization as well as an enlisted lab tech and xray tech.**Fort Sam Houston, the home of the Army Medical Department (AMEDD) has a home page that might be useful -- not sure if it is available right now (all Army pages are being reviewed for privacy act and other sensitive information right now) but I'm sure it could give you points of contact who could help you with the specifics of your situation.J Lemire
