Ft. Benning

hi! I am considering joining the national guard. I have also considered going active. My husband just got out of the army 3 months ago. He misses it a lot. We were in Ft Benning. I love it there and miss it a lot. So how do other army post compare to it? How many of you have been to Benning? Amy

Hey Amy, We were stationed at Benning for two years before my husband got out of the Army. I liked Columbus. We lived at Park Place Apts. until we got housing and I was the Rental Manager there. Before that we were in Germany, which was the best. I loved it over there. When I joined in 96 I got it in my contract as my 1st duty station. We were stationed in Vilseck. The nicest housing in Germany (on post housing). And now that I am going back in it will be in my contract again. I can't wait to get back over there. It is really a beautiful country and a place that everyone should go to at least once on the govt's dime. Hope I helped in even a little way. E-mail me if you need to know anything specific.
